This particular feature of the concept of time comes in handy when dealing with problems that make use of calculus to find out their solutions since calculus has concepts like derivatives and integrals which are inherently variable or dynamic events.

Convert 15 minutes to seconds. 

Answer: 

Number of seconds in one minute: 60

Number of seconds in 15 minutes: 15 * 60

Hence, the total number of seconds in 15 minutes is 900. 

Example 2: 

Convert 540 seconds to minutes. 

Answer: 

Number of seconds in one minute: 60

So, the number of minutes in 1 second: 1/60 

Number of minutes in 540 seconds: 540/60

Hence, the total number of minutes in 540 seconds is 9.

Example 1: Calculating the rate of motion or the speed at which any particle or element in nature moves. The speed of an object or its rate of motion is computed by employing distance and time and is represented as

Rate = Distance / Time

Example 2: Calculating the average speed of an object. The formula is given as:

Average Speed = Total Distance / Total Time
